A little history of Santiago...

   The city of Santiago was founded by Spanish conquistador Pedro de Valdivia with the name Santiago de Nueva Extremadura on February 12, 1541

   It was the first city founded in Chile and from that day the country's main city housing the main administrative, commercial, cultural, financial and government of the country, including the government palace called La Moneda, the Courts of Justice, the Central Bank , headquarters of many ministries, etc..
